Relaxing with Birdie
Relaxing with Birdie guides children through a series of gentle movements designed to calm the nervous system by connecting body, breath and emotions. Activities include lying still and focusing on breathing, standing tall like a tree, and stretching like a warrior. These exercises encourage children to feel strong, hopeful and calm.

This project is part of the Birdie’s Tree program, developed by Children’s Health Queensland’s Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health, which supports children in processing difficult experiences and big emotions.
